Consider this your unofficial glossary. Committing any of this to memory is optional. Surviving it is not.
The Hollow — An ancient stronghold carved into black cliffside, old enough to remember things it probably shouldn’t. Do not knock. It already knows you’re there.
The Flameborn — Soren’s people. Extremely serious about duty, honour, and the correct way to fold a battle tent. Deeply unserious about shirts.
Witchbinders — The Hollow’s enforcers. Bind magic, break wills, generally ruin everyone’s evening. Widely regarded as the reason nobody in this world trusts a “quiet forest.”
The Bond — A sigil-based connection between a Fae and their chosen mate, marked by an unfortunate tendency to glow at the worst possible moments. Cannot be turned off. Believe me, several characters have tried.
Draconic Telepathy — A one-way conversation where the dragon does 90% of the talking and 100% of the judging. See also: Velwyn.
Amara — A name. Ask again later. It’ll make more sense once it stops being terrifying.
More entries added as the chaos escalates.

You don’t need to memorise any of this to enjoy the book. But if you do, I will personally consider you Hollow-certified.
